Under which condition this was happening? (The sector or the place you were there, the type of defense, the units you used, the enemy incoming units, time or phase of battle) Which AI difficulty were you using? (Easy, normal, hard, expert) Which map were you using? (Name, original or community map, size, N vs N ) This happens even if AI owns half of the map. When you defend your sectors heavily, but don't advance (for example on a map with bridges), AI eventually unable to capture new sectors stops doing anything and just produces a single type of unit. Originally posted by TAG:There is one important issue with AI in the New Steam Version that I've observed and this issue seem to be absent in the Legacy Edition: So all actions on the battlefield are based on points location and their value. The Company of Heroes AI is based on points, the nearest, the most valuable, and VP priority. Second, the AI actively attack the obstacles (Tank traps, barbed wires, and sandbags) if "it can't find any other way to the points". Here is the link to the Eastern Front mod Steam store page: In addition, Eastern Front is still available, you can get the latest version of the mod from steam directly. The Eastern Front or any other community-generated mods were not a part of Company of Heroes. Wrong dear friend, first of all, such behavior from bots only implemented in some mods such as Eastern front mod. That AI would bring in troops after base destruction, it would use repair tiger to smash down defenses/obstructions, and was generally tougher to play.Ĭurrent AI is pretty dim, and has various glaring flaws, one of which is not bringing in units if its base is downed/repairing. The best I have seen was in the EF mod, in pre steam days. IMHO, current AI is some of the worse I have seen.
